Here's a picture of the family room, taken from the stairs just to the left of the dining area. The sliding glass doors are to the far right, and there's another window further on. Both look out to the backyard.The fireplace is gas, and the key is located on top of the mantle. The lock is to the right of the fireplace, in the floor. Sorry ... we never attempted to use it so we don't know much about it.
Also to the right of the fireplace is the hookup for the Direct TV satellite dish that located on the outside of that wall.
As you can tell, there's a lot of room in this family room - we have our exercycle, couch, and TV set up there. It stays pretty comfortable in the Summer, and nice and warm in the Winter.To the left, out of range of the pictures is one door that leads 2 steps down to the garage, and another door that leads down to the basement.
